The Power of the Ebook – Generating Cash and Free Advertisement

Ebook advertising, can it be done? I will say not only can it be done, but that it is one of the most free and effective ways of advertising. There are a few reasons for this, first many people believe it is to difficult or that its not worth the time, which gives the people writing the ebooks less competition. These days people are so unwilling to write ebooks that they acquire resell rights to previously written ebooks!

Don’t believe me? Go to eBay and see how many unique sellers are selling the same ebook. As a consumer do you really want to look at the same material over and over again? Well of course not, but enough of my ranting. Now I’m saying that ebooks are simple to write for the most part and that they are more profitable than you might think.

At the bear minimum you can sell them on a variety of sites for 5 through 30 dollars, depending on the information. On top of that your work will be original which gives you a much better opportunity than advertising the same old dead ebook. Anyway many of my friends actually have gotten rich by selling original high quality work for 275 dollars! Does that sound good to you? Well that’s just the start.

A very common way to sell ebooks is off of eBay, so lets say you sell around 5 of these a day on eBay for 15 dollars a piece. That’s an easy 60 dollars a day just by selling these simple and easy to distribute ebooks. Now here is where the real catch is.

Many Ebook writers often refer to their other products inside the actual book itself. Of course the ebook shouldn’t be used as a pitch paid for products, but its amazing what one simple line reference line can do in an ebook. At the end of your book just put a little reference to something you own or who’s product you are affiliated with.

An example of this would be (If you liked my book on dog training you may be interested in my level two course on dog training course). Thus creating free and effective advertising for yourself.

If you want increase traffic to a certain website I recommend publishing the ebook for free to one of the many free ebook sites. Since it is free think of how many people would download it, read and click on your link. The reason many readers feel they should click on your link is because during ebook you have built up trust with your readers.

You have built a connection to your readers. That is assuming you haven’t used it as a pitch paid or it was written poorly. So now that you have written your ebook how else do you want to promote it?

There are two other effective way to promote your products inside the ebook. The first would be through affiliates, this is a highly effective way. Go to an site that has an affiliates and vendors, there you can submit your product into there database, from there affiliates will come by look at your ebook and pitch page and if they like your product they will likely start an advertising campaign for you for free!

What’s the catch? The catch is that since they are the ones doing all the work of promoting it they receive portion off the sale. Since however its all electronic there are no publishing costs so why should you care if you lose a few bucks off product.

Finally the last way is to sell or give away the resell rights to your book. What this means is that you give the right to everyone to sell your book. Sound crazy? Well the benefit of this is that your product will become very well distributed. Everyone who reads it will see your reference to your website. Like I said before there are a variety of free ebook hosting sites that receive lots of traffic.
