eBooks – How to Build Successful eBook Websites

Once you have written an awesome ebook you need a way to sell it. There are a lot of website designers that will try to sell you expensive sites, or publishers that will try to get you to pay them to sell your book on their site. You can even find a lot of ebook websites that will allow you to give away an ebook, but that doesn’t allow you to sell it.

The best way to sell your own books is to build ebook websites. These are very easy to create and do not require a lot of pages. You don’t need a merchant account, and you don’t need any expensive software. Don’t buy into the hype!

The first thing to do is develop and purchase a domain name that reflects the title or topic of your ebook. Once you have purchased this and found hosting, you should also create an email address just for use with this website, and attach it to a PayPal account. If you don’t already have such an account, create one or use something similar.

Once you have all of this set up, you can build your website. You really only need a few pages. The first page should be a sales letter introducing your ebook. You can write this yourself or hire a copywriter to write one for you. Hiring a copywriter is not expensive, so consider the option if you can afford it.

Within this sales letter should be a PayPal buy now button, or something similar. If you use PayPal, when the visitor clicks the buy now button they are redirected to that site to process payment, then redirected again to the site that you specify. The website you jump back to should offer the ebook download, as well as any other information or sales bits that you wish to include.
