When you start to tally up, the bottom line can be shocking: a couple of software programs, listen-and-speak audio package(s), dictionary, grammar textbook(s), reading material, audio books … KaCHING! However, there is a plethora of FREE foreign language reading material available on the Internet. Whenever you have a few minutes to spare, you can read on your computer, Blackberry, smartphone, PDA or other electronic reading device. It is easy once you know how. This article explains.
The first thing you must do is to obtain software. Mobipocket.com (an Amazon.com subsidiary) is your first stop. Go to the “Free Downloads” area on the left hand side of the page and click on “Free Software”. Download and install both Mobipocket Reader and Mobipocket Creator.
Return to the Mobipocket.com home page and select “Download free eBooks”. Pick the language you are learning and download the eBooks in which you are interested. Within just a few minutes, you can be reading public domain classics. The software bookmarks your spot whenever you leave a book, so you never lose your place.
As this article is written, Mobipocket hosts over 11,500 free books in more than 25 different languages.
You can find even more books at Project Gutenberg – Gutenberg.org. Some books at their site are already in mobi format. Others can be formatted very quickly and easily by using Mobipocket Creator to import text, html, pdf, or Microsoft Word files.
Under the Project Gutenberg “Free Books” area, choose the link for their “Online Book Catalog”. They also have partners and affiliates, increasing the total number of titles available to over 100,000. That should keep you busy for awhile!
Some books at Gutenberg also have audio files.
Librivox (Librivox.org) is another good stop. Their goal is to make all public domain books available as free audio books. They are a totally volunteer, open source, free content, public domain project. You may be able to supplement your reading material with an audio presentation.

1. People love to receive free or win free stuff, whether they really need it or want it. A free eBook is perfect to satisfy those needs over the Internet. They will visit your website to get the free valuable information.

Should You Include Affiliate Links in Your Ebook

Making money online is easy if you know what you are doing, but you can make a lot of mistakes and make no money if you are constantly looking for a quick buck instead of building a sound online business. There is a lot of talk these days about how profitable the ebook business is – and it truly is a profitable business to run – but that has led to some issues with people publishing crappy products.
When you publish products that are not well-written and have an amateurish feel, you get what you expect. But sometimes, there are writers who publish ebooks with too many affiliate links because they want to make even more money from their customers or freebie seekers.
What is the right balance of leveraging affiliate marketing and providing great content? Answer this question and you will have hit the sweet spot of not only creating a great product, but a more profitable one.
The Right Amount of Affiliate Links – While there is no one set equation for how many affiliate links to include in your ebooks, I know that you can easily find the right blend of content and promotional material.
Looks Never Lie – The way to figure out how many affiliate links to put in is to scan through your ebook and see how many links appear in a 3 to 5 page section of your text. If you have more than one or two links per page on every page, then you probably have too many links.
You should not scan your pages and see a sea of underlined blue words (i.e., hyperlinks) on the page. This is obviously visually jarring to the reader and once they pick up on the fact that you are promoting affiliate products on every page, they are going to get mad…and may even ask for a refund!
Read in Their Shoes – Put yourself in your reader’s shoes and scan through your ebook. Is the information you are providing helpful or are you just setting up the next affiliate product you are recommending? If you are honest with yourself and find that you are just trying to pitch a product or service, rather than help your readers, you might consider scaling back on some of your affiliate links.
Remember, you can always follow-up with your readers through your autoresponder series about products and services you like and recommend. You do not have to blanket your ebook with affiliate links to make extra affiliate commissions.
Making Money Online the Right Way – The bottom line is that you can make money by inserting affiliate links in your ebooks, but you just have to find the right balance between great content and promotional callouts.
If there is ever a question as to whether you have found the right balance, err on the side of more content than promotional links. You cannot go wrong if you do this. You will find that your readers will be happier with your ebook and you just mind see an increase in the click-through rate of your affiliate links.
